GROTAN OX is a powerful biocide for water-mixed metalworking fluids and technical emulsions that provides reliable preservation and long-lasting protection against bacterial contamination. Its highly effective combination of paraformaldehyde and 2-hydroxypropylamine acts against bacteria, yeasts and fungi, extending the service life of metalworking fluids.
 
Thanks to its complete water solubility and broad spectrum of activity, GROTAN OX is ideal for the system care of cooling lubricants in industrial applications.
 
Effective bacteria & fungus control in cooling lubricants
Bacterial growth in cooling lubricants leads to odor formation, poor performance and shorter service life. GROTAN OX prevents microbial infestation in the long term and ensures a longer shelf life of the emulsions, thereby reducing maintenance costs.
 
Completely water-soluble & material-compatible
Thanks to its complete solubility in water, GROTAN OX can be used in water-based cooling lubricants without any problems. It is well compatible with most materials, but should be tested on non-ferrous metals before use.
 
Heat-resistant & broad pH action spectrum
GROTAN OX remains stable even at high temperatures and is effective in a pH range of 5 to 12. This makes it suitable for a wide range of applications in industrial metalworking.
 
Recommended application & dosage for best results
GROTAN OX is used for the preservation of water-mixed cooling lubricants & technical emulsions. The dosage is 10-15 g per kg of emulsion to ensure an optimum biocidal effect.
