PAL granulate blasting units

PAL granulate blasting units enable a gentle, rapid deep cleaning of workpieces and a surface treatment appropriate to the material properties.

Different types of treatment

By using different blasting media such as H-slag, corundum, micro glass beads, plastic granules, synthetic or metallic polishing agents, various types of treatment such as shot peening, material finishing or surface decoration are possible.

Shot peening

In shot peening, suitable blasting material, e.g. glass beads for finishing stainless steel, is hurled at high speed against the surface to be treated. Shot peening causes an increase in the residual compressive stress in the material surface and thus in the fatigue strength and corrosion resistance. Material cracks, e.g. due to material fatigue, never occur in a layer with residual compressive stress.

System solutions for series machining

PAL accessories offer high-quality system solutions for serial machining of workpieces. PAL accessories such as workpiece loading table, roller table, pressure tank, blasting cabinet lining etc. can be found in the ELMAG brochure 'Stone cutting technology'.
